Clujul Pedaleaza – Last stage

Yesterday, October 27th, took place the last stage of our “regional” championship – Clujul Pedaleaza. I had to get the best place possible to get overall from 3rd to 2nd place. I had a good warm up and a pretty decent start. I was first after the first lap and I was feeling pretty well. Then Eli, passed me and I tried to keep up the pace but I’ve lost it because some small mistakes on the wet and slippery parts. Then Kiks got me and gain some terrain. In the last lap I’ve managed to pass him again but once again a mistake in a tight muddy turn put me down and I couldn’t get him so I’ve finished 3rd. This was enough to finish overall on 2nd place, for the 2nd time in a row.

After that it was scheduled another race: one lap, first three riders from each category. I’ve started fast, pushed hard and finished harder, this time 1st getting the “Best of the best” title, inaccurate to say considering that I’ve finished 2nd overall as I’ve told you before. But another “trophy” at the collection is a good thing and will motivate me for the long winter ahead. So three times on the podium after one day, is pretty good.
