I never thought I would have my very own road bike

I never thought I would have my very own road bike. Why? I prefer mountain bikes.

But as a lot of gravel roads near Cluj got a fresh layer of tarmac, the Cannondale CAAD13 is the perfect training choice. For nearly four decades, the CAAD bikes have set the standard for high-performance aluminum frames, and the CAAD13 is the best one yet. It's the most advanced, best performing alloy race bike ever made. Fitting, since aluminum is the 13th element.

Just a few tweaks here and there, to adjust it to my needs, comfy saddle and bar tape, light wheels, oval chainrings, power meter, tubeless tires.

I might even go racing with it, who knows? but for sure it will be a great partner for some special adventures.

Yesterday I had the first "race" of the season, the January Grand Fondo on @Zwift. I am not so experienced on this e-sports platform and didn't had many expectations but it was a great training. Pushed myself as hard as possible after finishing the #Festive500. Finished 263th out of 2709 riders so just in the first 10%. Better next time.

🇷🇴 Cu powermeter-ele @stagescycling sunt obișnuit de mulți ani de zile, pentru că m-au ajutat să mă antrenez eficient, sau chiar să-mi spună că nu-s antrenat suficient. Dar un astfel de gadget este foarte util când vrei să ai parte de precizie. Bucuria e și mai mare de când Stages a decis să mă primească în familia lor și să mă sponsorizeze pentru a putea să-mi ating obiectivele ⚡. În România ei sunt reprezentați de Cycle Master cu prețuri fix ca-n afară.
P.S. a 2-a fotografie e de la Păltiniș din 2016, primul eu an cu un power meter Stages. Si acum merge foarte bine de altfel

🇬🇧This year was so hard so I am very grateful to reach this milestone - the 9th pink bike.
A lot of people were involved to make this happen so thank you to every single one of you. Means a lot to be able to continue this charity project and make sure to support cancer patients in my community. I am quite sure that my mom is proud and happy up there.

🇷🇴Anul acesta a fost foarte greu si de aceea sunt foarte recunoscator sa ating aceasta borna - a 9-a bicicleta roz.
Foarte multe persoane au fost implicate in a face acest proiect realitate si vreau sa multumesc fiecaruia dintre ei. Inseamna foarte mult pentru mine sa pot continua acest proiect caritabil si sa ajut oameni bolnavi de cancer din comunitatea din care fac parte. Sunt convins ca mama mea, de acolo de sus, e mandra de mine.
