New season with new challenges
1 Apr
Hello everyone,
I hope that 2014 started well and everything is going as you’ve planned. For me, my season had a slow start, but I think I will catch up in the following weeks for sure.
The second charity auction went better than last year, selling my first pink Cannondale F29 for 3150 euros (which is 1200 euros better than last year). Selling the bike directly from my website was a good idea as I’ve avoided the selling fees from other auctioning websites. This means that I will have more money to donate. As before, the entire amount of money will go to a cancer charity case. Of course, if anyone is interested in the causes I support, I have all the medical files and history at hand. In ending this stage of the project I would like to thank everyone who contributed: my family, sponsors, everyone who helped in customizing the bike, all the bidders and, last but not least, the winner of the auction.
With the support of my sponsors, this project will also continue in 2014 with a similar Cannondale F29er, equipped with a Sram X.0 transmission, X.0 brake, Tune parts, Xpedo pedals and more, which can be seen in the photo bellow.
The new bike will serve the same purpose as before: I will race it, promote the cause, sell the bike and, finally, it will help someone in need.
Now, I have some other good news to share. I have a new title sponsor: Imprezzio Global. They are a full-service software solution provider based in Cluj-Napoca, RO, who also have an impressive track record in providing cutting-edge software products that bring value to their clients and help their businesses to grow and thrive.
Having their full support means a lot to me because it allows me to focus more on training, racing and sharing my experience with all those who are in need of advice. Soon, the Imprezzio Cannondale Racing equipment will be ready! Like this I will be much easier to spot in a race.
Speaking of races, of course I have a few goals for this season. First and most important is to have fun riding my bikes. Then my goal focuses on racing and getting good results at the most important Romanian XCO competitions. Racing and getting experience in at least two World Cup XCO stages. The XCM races won’t be a priority for me, but I will race in a few of them just to train in an organized environment and to check my fitness level. I will present the complete racing schedule soon.
More news will come soon, so please stay tuned.
Cheers,
Vlad
