2014 Charity auction

24/02/2014 update:

The winner of the auction is Yolanda W.  from Belgium having the highest bid of 3150 euros. This is 1200 euros better than last year so I am happy about even though I want it to raise much more. Hopefully with the next bike :)

If anyone challenge the outcome of this auction, please contact me within the next 24h, until 25/02/2014, 8:00 PM CET.

Many thanks to everyone that promoted this auction by any way (facebook, twitter), many thanks to the sponsors of this project,  last but not least to the bidders and congratulations to the winner. I am happy to help someone who’s not so lucky.

Updates to come.

Cheers,

Vlad

Hello everyone,

This year I’ve decided to sell my pink Cannondale later than last year. Like this the holidays are over and you might have other plans for the coming season.

As the last year I will donate every single penny of the profit to a cancer charity case. With my girlfriend and my dad we thought that giving the money to a specific case will be better because there where a few “issues” with some of the foundations that are working in Romania.

Also I’ve decided with my project sponsors to sell it directly from my website. Like this I won’t have to pay high commissions to auctioning websites.

This Cannondale F29 is also signed by the two rock-stars from Cannondale Factory Racing: Manuel Fumic and Marco Aurelio Fontana.

 Why the bike is pink?

You might know that the  pink ribbon  is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. Pink ribbons and the color pink in general, identify the wearer or promoter with the breast cancer brand and express moral support for women with breast cancer.

The color pink is feminine Considered in modern Western countries. It evokes traditional feminine gender roles, caring for other people, being beautiful, being good, and being cooperative.

The pink ribbon represents the fight against breast cancer, hope for the future, and the charitable goodness of people and businesses that publicly support the breast cancer movement. It is Intended to evoke solidarity with women who currently have breast cancer.

After having a terrible incident in my family that ended with the loss of my mother I’ve decided to get much more involved in this fight. In the 2011 racing season I had a lot of pink bike parts and so some pink argyle socks to express my moral support, but then I told myself that I can do more.

Condition of the bike:

I’ve used this bike on the 2013 season (from April until October). I love to have a bike running really well so I was really careful with it. It has only minor scratches and dents from normal using, nothing really to worry about. Before the auction the bike was completely stripped off, cleaned and greased. It’s running really good. It has some brand new parts, as you might see, but also a lot of parts in “like new” condition. Whoever will win the auction will just have to mount some pedals and adjust the seatpost.

As it has a better configuration than last year, the starting bid will be from 2500 euros.

You can send your bidding offers via my contact form seen bellow with a current bid or maximum bid. The amount will increase with a minimum 100  50 euros.

The auction starts today February 3rd and end on February 24th, 8PM CET. Later bids won’t be accepted.

Please do not bid if you don’t want this bike or you don’t have the money to pay it. Please think again before bidding because as I said before the whole amount will go to a cancer charity case!

For any other information, do not hesitate to contact me

The actual bids will be updated daily and posted on this page with the amount, given name and the initial of the given name. Of course that I can post also a link to your site/blog or social media page if wanted.
